Special Olympics Australia - National OfficeKey Responsibilities
- Provide effective support to the Chair in facilitating growth and development opportunities for the Club
- Responsible for increasing athlete numbers within the Club in conjunction with Club LT
- Engage with external organisations including local government, business, affiliates, disability service providers, schools, members of State and Federal parliament with the objective to raise awareness through membership growth and/or fundraising opportunities
- Act as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Club
- Co-ordinate, facilitate and support others (Club LT, Athlete Leaders, Family members, Athletes) in Club development activities to raise awareness about Special Olympics

Essential •Strong networking, negotiation, organisation, andpresentation skills •Excellent organisation and communication skills •Strong leadership skills
Desirable •Possess business acumen, vision and strategic planning abilities •Demonstrated marketing and writing skills
Experience / Education Essential •Minimum of 3 years relevant businessexperience Desirable •Previous experience with a not for profit or disability organisation
Time Commitment: Minimum 2 years Approximately 3 - 4 hours per week and attendance at Club LT meetings. Must be available evenings and weekends.
