The volunteer tutor provides educational support after school hours to students enrolled in local schools in the City of Whittlesea. A significant number of these students come from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Whittlesea Community Connections is a Child Safe organisation and all volunteers will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.

As this program will take place within Thomastown Library, volunteers will also need to follow Yarra Plenty Regional Library’s Child Safe Reporting Process, YPRL volunteer induction and follow YPRL Covid volunteers guidelines.

Key Responsabilities; Support the learning needs of students.  Assist with weekly homework tasks or assignments.  Develop positive relationships with students in the program.  Reporting any concerns around student wellbeing to staff within the program. Skills, experience
