The program

The Rockhampton Wellbeing Centre provides a welcoming home away from home for people travelling from rural and remote areas to receive medical treatment at the Rockhampton Hospital. The Centre is designed to reflect the Red Cross wellbeing model, with its sense of openness, welcome and homeliness, mirroring health and recovery. 

The Mobility Equipment Hire Service (MEHS) responds to enquiries, providing mobility equipment information and completing hire and return procedures.

The opportunity

This position suits someone over the age of 18 years, who has a friendly and caring disposition and is skilled in providing quality customer service. You will have experience in carrying out administrative support tasks.

The volunteer will be responsible for identifying and providing customers with the most appropriate short term hire mobility aids as well as maintaining and carrying out equipment cleaning requirements.
