We currently have an amazing Treasurer and are looking for another board member with financial experience and credentials to work along side our existing Treasurer.

Kith and Kin is a local success story, started in Townsville, and very much Townsville focused. Kith and Kin has been helping both people with a disability and mental illness for over 40 years. Direct Support Services and making a difference is what we do.

Board members meet once a month with the CEO to review the finances, approve large projects and expenditure, and review strategic progress. Volunteer Board members are essential to the ongoing success and smooth running of Kith and Kin.

Attending meetings once a month for 1 hour. Reading minutes. Reviewing monthly finical reports. Approvals. Contributing to strategic discussions.

Experience in Finance and Financial Management. Interest in Community Services. Interest in working cooperatively with a team of highly experienced board members. Focused as meetings are scheduled to be no longer than 60 minutes.

Valuable Experience as a Board Member of a very successful Local Organisation. Gain insights into how a successful not-for-profit, for-purpose organisation is run at the Board level.
