Parks & Wildlife Environmental Volunteers - Friends of Ngungun
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships
Become a 'Friend of Ngungun' to join other volunteers in assisting local QPWS&P Rangers with a variety of activities that benefit the Mount Ngungun section of the Glass House Mountains National Park.
These tasks may include: • manual weed removal • native revegetation • rubbish collection • minor track maintenance • recording of wildlife sightings, and more
Over time we hope the group develops a connection with the area and continues to gain knowledge and appreciation for this section of national park.
As a volunteer, you can expect to: • make connections with like-minded people and other local environmental groups • learn about the different ecosystems and identify native and invasive species that exist within the park; • gain hands-on experience with safe work methods and best practice environmental management techniques. • enjoy being active outdoors and feel good about helping the environment.
