Our mission is to increase political literacy and provide forward-looking solutions to build the next generation of outstanding political leaders

Our focus is on

  • Delivering political leadership initiatives for youth and emerging leaders
  • Increasing political education and literacy of communities more generally
  • Investigating and providing solutions to barriers to entry into politics, particularly for diverse emerging leaders and those from low socio-economic backgrounds

Who we are looking for

The Board of Director will play an important role in shaping the organisation’s strategy and initial activities.

Requirements:

1. Experience in developing strategies for not-for-profit business models: We are looking for a Board member who understands the unique challenges and considerations involved in the early stages of establishing and running a not-for-profit organisation and can contribute strategic insights to help shape Rotation cubed's initial work.

2. Familiarity with social, economic, and political issues: Have experience and/or understanding of these issues to provide guidance on the specific challenges faced by youth/emerging leaders.

3. Understanding of funding challenges in the not-for-profit sector: Have a good understanding and awareness of the funding landscape for not-for-profit organisations to guide sustainable financial strategies for Rotation cubed.

4. Interest in raising political literacy in emerging leaders: A genuine interest in contributing to increasing political literacy and empowering emerging leaders.

5. Creative thinking and an experimentative mindset: We are seeking individuals who can bring fresh perspectives, think creatively, and are open to experimenting with new ideas to tackle political challenges and develop effective solutions.

Commitment

Board meetings: One - hour board meetings once every six weeks

Preparatory work: Board members may need to allocate up to one hour for preparatory work before the meetings. This may involve reading relevant meeting materials.

Additional project work: Depending on your interest and availability, you may have the opportunity to contribute to specific projects or events that align to your expertise and interest.
