Founded in Queensland in 1987, Rosies provides friendship, belonging and acceptance through street outreach to those who are experiencing homelessness, disadvantage or social isolation. Rosies has 1400 volunteers active across 14 Branches, providing some 200 outreaches per month across Queensland.

Rosies are seeking a Volunteer Branch Coordinator to lead the Brisbane City team in delivering our mission to ensure that no Queenslander feels left out or disconnected from their community. Rosies aims to provide friendship and unconditional acceptance to those doing it tough, sharing a warm smile and hospitality in the form of refreshments and a small bite to eat.

THE ROLE OF BRANCH COORDINATOR

We have an exciting and ongoing opportunity for a volunteer with business operations knowledge and administration experience to lead a team to ensure those experiencing homelessness, disadvantage or social isolation are supported.

With the Branch based in Brisbane city, and working as part of a Branch Leadership Team, you will own the role to ensure the branch operates effectively, volunteers are trained, knowledgeable of their role and any associated outreach processes, and are resourced to support our friends on the street.

Reporting to the Volunteer and Outreach Manager, role is a combination of activities at our Hub (base) in Annerley, outreach locations in Brisbane CBD and from your home/office. The role will be responsible for organising, supporting and training a team of two/three volunteers to be a part of the Branch Leadership Team, with responsibilities including:

• Enhancing a culture of mission delivery

• Overseeing the operation of the branch

• Ensuring volunteer teams are trained, knowledgeable of their role and safe work practices, as well as relevant processes/procedures

• Communicating with volunteers, Head Office, community organisations, donors and other relevant parties

• Working with volunteers to listen to feedback and resolve any conflicts or issues

• Monitoring incident reports and follow-up or take action as required
