Volunteer Tour Guide to Places of Worship
Interfaith Network City of Greater DandenongKey responsibilities include: • Facilitating the tour, meeting the Faith Leaders and introducing them to the tour participants • Greeting teachers, students and members of the general public • Leading tour participants in following respectful practices and site protocols • Representing the IFN in a professional and respectful manner • Ensuring the scheduled tours are conducted in a timely and co-ordinated manner • Responding to the needs of each participant group • Ensuring each group has an enjoyable and safe tour Commitment: • Be available to lead a tour once per calendar month for a minimum of 12 months • Each tour lasts for approximately 7 hours (8.30am-3.30pm) • Attend training and information sessions as required • Initially on the job training will be provided About you: • You are friendly, enthusiastic and with good communication skills • You can empathise with others as well as recognise and value diverse faiths and cultures • You have the ability to problem solve and minimise risk • You are willing to undertake training related to this role • You are willing to be engaged, challenged and curious in new environments Requirements: • Current Police check • Working with Children Check • Double COVID 19 Vaccination • Level 2 First Aid Training (training available) • Driver’s license and car essential Benefits to you: • Attendance on a free public tour • Training opportunities • Free attendance at IFN activities Ready to take the next step? • Email your expression of interest to executive@intefaithnetwork.org.au • Potential volunteers will be invited to an interview to discuss the position
