The Front Office Support Volunteer role is to support the Front Office Administration Assistant in maintaining the reception area including customer service, basic administrative duties and the COVID safety requirements. This role is suited to someone who would like to improve their customer service skills, administration and communication skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities  Greet and assist customers with their queries face-to-face, via telephone or email.  Disinfect the reception area, lift area, public amenities, meeting rooms and training rooms including door handles, as required.  Assist with QR code check-in.  Assist with lift access.  Cover reception during break periods.

Knowledge and Skills  Excellent Customer Service skills.  Good computer skills including Word and Microsoft Outlook.  Good office equipment skills including telephone and photocopier.  Good spoken and written English.  Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity towards the needs of refugee and migrants.  Ability and experience in communicating effectively with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.  Reliable, dependable and respectful of confidentiality.  Able to use initiative and to work unsupervised or as part of a team.  Flexible, ready to take on a variety of tasks.  Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Key Requirements & Conditions of Engagement  Please be advised that this is a volunteer opportunity and cannot be considered as part of a placement or work experience.  Volunteers must be over 18 years of age.  A commitment of six months.  Current Police Check working With Children Check and Current Covid-19 Vaccination Status required. Attend volunteer orientation and participate in any further training as required to support the role.
