With your assistance as a mini-bus driver, residents from HammondCare Darlinghurst aged care home will enjoy outings in the local area, including Eastern Suburbs beaches or to medical appointments. You will be accompanied by one of our care staff who will look after the residents care needs.

As the bus is a 10 seater, anyone with a current Australian drivers license, and five years good driving history can volunteer. We will provide training on driving the bus as well as orientation and ongoing support from an on-site Volunteer Coordinator.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specialising in dementia and aged care. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. HammondCare is located at 118 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst

The time commitment is between 1-3 hours, Monday to Friday. We would be happy to discuss a suitable day and time with you.

You'll be required to show proof of your current drivers license, Covid19 vaccination evidence and complete a national police check which we'll organise and pay for.
