Grant Writer (must have grant writing experience)

APMA seeks a someone with an understanding of persistent pain or chronic conditions to join our team of volunteers. This role is for someone wishing to deliver grant submissions with a focus on corporate, philanthropic and community based grants. This is not for someone wishing to pursue medical research grants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and Operations team to develop and submit comprehensive grant proposals.
  • Ensure that grant activity and other appropriate information is documented in line with professional and legal standards.
  • Develop and track grant proposals and report deadlines.
  • Seek feedback from funding bodies where required and apply learnings to future submissions.

Skills, experience, and attributes: To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, be a true team player and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

We do ask only applicants who have former experience with philanthropic grant writing apply for this role.

Ideally you would have/be:

  • A knack for combining data and story towards engaging and persuasive copy;
  • Creative and confident writer, with high attention to detail in correct spelling and punctuation;
  • Able to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a consistent and integrated brand perception;
  • Knowledge of the grant acquittal process.
