  • You are proactive, organised and an excellent communicator who loves getting out and about in your local community

You will receive training and support in how to talk about orangutans, the threats they face, and how we’re responding, as well as in other aspects of the role where required.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

After you’ve applied, please send a copy of your resume or brief summary of your experience to apply@orangutan.org.au, which will be sent to you in an automated message.

Our holistic approach focuses on four key pillars

  1. Legally protect forests
  2. Secure, restore and patrol orangutan, elephant and tiger habitat
  3. Rescue, rehabilitate and release infant orangutans and displaced and injured orangutans, elephants and tigers
  4. Educate and empower the local communities and indigenous people
