Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Anne describes herself as intelligent and a good talker. She enjoys movies, reading, crafts (especially sewing) and gardening. Uniting are seeking a volunteer with similar interests to support Anne to reconnect with her community.

You'll need effective communication skills and an ability to creatively reconnect Anne to her interests. Visits may include supporting Anne to interact with her community - a drive to the beach or to do some window shopping whilst sharing in lively conversation. You will hold a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Anne* in during visits. The confidence to work independently is a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you'll have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey.
