Fundraiser Event Assistants - Sydney CBD - #176582

Women's Justice Network

The successful applicants will work as part of a team of 6 volunteers and Women's Justice Network (WJN) staff to work on the second annual Art4Healing Art Auction fundraiser.

We aim to replicate the success of Art4Healing 2021 and auction artwork kindly donated from notable and award winning Australian artists complimented by a raffle draw of unique and wonderful prizes also donated by artists and local businesses.

The event is aimed to raise funds for our Healing from Within program, a youth-led creative diversionary program, available to young women aged 14 to 25, who are incarcerated, or at risk of incarceration. This program utilises creativity, culture, connection and lived experience facilitators and guest speakers to foster an environment of trust, empowerment and safety. Young women learn to express themselves, set goals for the future, and engage in fun and impactful lessons, by women who have walked the path before them.

We are seeking volunteers with:

  • Events management experience
  • Computer literacy skills
  • The ability to work effectively and cohesively in a team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communications skills

The duration of the project will run from March to the end of a June 2022. Can you commit one full day or two half days per week and commit to attending fortnightly planning meetings?
