SecondBite is the key supplier for The Neighbourhood Hub, and we collect food donations from local Coles supermarkets on a weekly basis. The SecondBite Superstar will assist with these collections and support our vulnerable community members.

Who is a SecondBite Superstar?

Someone who is energetic, reliable, understands workplace health and safety and is excellent at time management. More specific role details include

• Ability to collect food donations from local Coles supermarkets and bring back to the 4 George Street Centre.

• Record and enter data regarding the amount of food collected.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate well with the TNHub team

• Maintain safety and hygiene standards

• Complete the free, online food safety course delivered by Mackay Regional Council

• Perform some repetitive works i.e., packing food and prepping bags of items for community members.

Please note that this activity involves some amounts of manual handling, including lifting/bending, twisting/turning, movements and standing. If you have a pre-existing injury or condition, this role may not be suitable.
