Presbyterian Aged Care (PAC) one of Australia's most experienced and trusted providers of aged care services is looking for reliable and caring drivers to volunteer their time to transport clients to their important medical appointments.

With client's living in the Belmont & Wallsend area the volunteer driver collects the client from their home at the scheduled time and takes them to their medical appointment, assists the client if required in and out of the car, walks client into the medical practice and upon completion of the appointment transports the client safely back home.

Appointments/transports are generally, but not always limited to, Newcastle, and Raymond Terrace and take place during the working week, Monday to Friday. NO weekends.

Kilometres travelled will be managed via a volunteer log book and a set amount per km will be reimbursed via a fuel card OR if preferred volunteers may be able to use a PAC vehicle.

Requirements for this volunteer role include:

• Registered vehicle, full drivers licence and comprehensive car insurance
• Understanding and caring towards the needs of aged clients
• Must be reliable and have good time management

The amount of time you wish to volunteer is totally up to you and can be scheduled around your availability. You will be making a huge difference to the lives of others by supporting them to continue living independently.
