The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Alamein Neighbourhood and Learning Centre.

We are looking for someone to be responsible for garden maintenance at our centre.

Responsibilities include:

• Mow the lawned areas
• Whipper snip around garden beds and along fence lines
• Remove weeds from paved areas
• Other duties necessary to keep the Community Garden presentable and an enjoyable place to be

Equipment is provided to complete these tasks.

Skills and attributes:

• Basic gardening skills and knowledge on how to perform the tasks
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• To have initiative and contribute to the gardening community in a way that will enhance the space for everyone who uses it

You will be required to dress appropriately for the job and weather conditions, i.e. protective eyewear, footwear, hat, sunscreen
