Warehouse Equipment Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment, such pallet jacks, motorised wheelchairs, hospital beds, etc to ensure they are in good working condition.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload goods, and assist in the transportation of items within the warehouse.
Inventory: Help maintain accurate inventory records, tracking the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, and ensuring products are stored properly.
Assist Warehouse Staff: Work with warehouse staff in sorting, organizing, and shelving products, ensuring that items are easily accessible for distribution.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the warehouse supervisor.
Teamwork: Work as part of a team to ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly, contributing to a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Basic knowledge of warehouse equipment operation is preferred but not required. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects when necessary.
Time Commitment: The time commitment for this volunteer role can vary, but we generally ask for at least 2-4 hours per week. We are flexible and can accommodate varying schedules.
