We are looking for kind, committed and positive people to join our team of 1:1 social support volunteers. This program is designed to support older people to reengage and reconnect with their community and to the things they love to do. Currently we are looking for a volunteer for Paul*

Paul describes himself as conservative who enjoys spending time with others, he enjoys attending church services and follows the Bomber and is also interested in photography and motor racing. He would like a volunteer to visit him at home to enjoy a cuppa over stimulating conversation or on other days to go out for a coffee at a local café. He would appreciate a volunteer who has a positive attitude and can chat on any number of topics.

He is available on Monday, Wednesday or Friday in the afternoon only.

To be successful in this role you will need to have good communications skills and the ability to work independently.

As a valued member of social support team you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator who will assist you throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
