Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

Would you like to visit an older person in an Aged Care Home and make a real difference in their life? Have you got some time and conversation to share to reduce loneliness? Do you speak Italian?

We are seeking a Community Visitor for a lovely lady in Allambie Heights from Italy, who is very graceful and reserved and lives with Dementia. She would enjoy the companionship of an Italian speaking visitor who is happy to hold her hand or provide a gentle hand massage.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.

Virtual visits (phone calls, letters, emails, postcards ) are vital and help continue connections during periods of visiting restrictions.
