WHO ARE WE?

The Sisterhood Empowerment Campaign Inc. is a women-led non-profit organisation based in Melbourne’s South East. We aim to unite, inspire and empower young women by providing services such as workshops and events that focuses on mental health and well-being. We've got so many ideas, programs and events to organise but not enough pair of hands. We're making a few changes and looking to expand our team. We're searching for talented and dedicated women who want to help us make a change and assist women in unleashing their full potential.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Are you ready to design for an organisation who wants to create change? You’ll be delivering artworks and graphics that market directly to our audience. You’ll be working under the direction of the Creative Director to formulate templates, layouts and designs to create the content we need for marketing. These will be passed on to the Social Media Manager to upload online.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design layouts from posters and flyers to promote the organisation’s programs, workshops, podcast series and events for print and digital
  • Create templates for social media posts to follow the organisation's brand identity
  • Design social media content to promote wellbeing concepts event/programs
  • Generate creative ideas to portray concepts 
  • Follow style guide provided by Creative Director to implement the brand identity of the organisation including logo placements, colour palette, fonts etc
  • Liaise with Copywriter, Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Manager to meet the criteria for the appointed program/event
  • Liaise with printers/suppliers to send off final designs for print ensuring high quality results
  • Maintain an organised database to store assets and visuals using Google Drive
  • Create short clips with animation for engaging content
  • Create e-books, digital and physical products (e.g. stickers, notepads etc) for potential merchandise

Skills & Experience

  • Qualification or experience in Graphic Design or equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience, training or education in graphic design
  • Experience in Adobe Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Experience in Figma is highly desirable
  • Experience in photography and video editing is highly desirable
  • Experience in product design is not essential but highly desirable
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with the committee members
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Open to constructive criticism and eager to learn and upskill
  • Experience in animation - Highly desirable

IMPORTANT BEFORE APPLYING:

  • This is a voluntary position
  • Each position has a minimum commitment level of 2-3 hours a week
  • We will use a project management tool to track KPI and keep all members up to date
  • Remote positions are available
  • On-site committee are required proof of double vaccinations
  • Attendance to monthly meetings are required (either on-site or online)
