As grant writer you will make a significant difference to the Kurilpa Scout Group by assisting to source the funds required to provide maintenance and repairs to the scout 'Den' (the building where all scouting activities take place); provision of some equipment, fixtures and fittings; and training requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

• researching grant opportunities
• collaborate with the Committee to prepare and write compelling grant applications and funding requests
• ensure all grant applications are professionally written, accurate and submitted within deadlines
• maintain regular contact with the Committee to clarify details for each project
• monitor and track progress of grant applications
• keeping the committee informed re updates, opportunities or requirements related to the grants
• ensure compliance with grant application guidelines as provided by Scouts Queensland
• obtain professional quotes from relevant providers of services required to ensure a successful project
