The Redlands Community Centre is looking for an experienced Volunteer Receptionist/s, who has strong reception and admin skills. The successful candidate is available to fill in for holiday and leave cover on a casual basis across both the Capalaba and Wynnum offices.

As this is a client facing role the ideal candidate/s will have a friendly positive attitude and the ability to work in a busy and dynamic work environment. You must also have good computer skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • welcoming clients and visitors to the Centres
  • receiving incoming telephone calls and recording and distributing messages accordingly
  • handling enquiries via telephone and face-to-face
  • check incoming emails and sending emails as required
  • confirming counselling appointments by sending SMS messages to clients
  • providing information to clients regarding the Centre’s services and activities
  • accepting and recording clients for the Centre’s Emergency Relief Program
  • accepting and recording referrals for the Centre’s services and activities
  • assisting with day-to-day administrative and general tasks.
