Social & Recreation Program Coordinator

The Coordinator role will provide you with a balance between autonomy and team work. It will be both challenging and rewarding, delivering a unique program and activities that people with Huntington's disease mostly do not have access to. And there is scope for the right person to grow the program. Under broad direction from the General Manager, you will be required to coordinate and deliver the Program on schedule and on budget. This will be done by planning, preparing and ensuring delivery of the Program sessions, including: • Developing and agreeing with the General Manager a program of sessions; • Hosting the sessions and supporting attendees; • Arranging for guest presenters and any location needs; • Ensuring that appropriate meals are provided; • Rostering, coordinating, leading and supporting our dedicated helper volunteers in their duties; • Managing budget, records for invoicing, stores, equipment and facilities; and • Regularly providing feedback and discussing ideas & concerns with volunteers and the General Manager. In this position you will play a key role in continuing and growing a program that provides a highlight for the week for a lot of people, helping to break isolation and build resilience in the Huntington's community.
