We are looking for kind, committed and positive people to join our team of 1:1 social support volunteers. This program is designed to support older people to reengage and reconnect with their community and to the things they love to do.

Sandra* has been described as easy going with a good sense of humour. She likes watching tennis, listening to music and reading. Sandra would prefer a friendly, chatty mature female volunteer who is comfortable around animals to visit her fortnightly for a chat, or a drive.

Sandra is available on Mon, Tues or weekends. You'll need access to a car for community outings. To be successful in this role you will need good communications skills and the ability to work independently. Interested? For further information, please contact 13 93 75 and quote WA-S-05. Please note that visits will take place in line with Uniting and COVID-19 safe guidelines. Name changed for privacy.

As a valued member of social support team you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.

This volunteer opportunity is posted on behalf of Uniting AgeWell
