We are looking for kind, committed and positive people to join our team of 1:1 social support volunteers. This program is designed to support older people to reengage and reconnect with their community and to the things they love to do.
Sandra* has been described as easy going with a good sense of humour. She likes watching tennis, listening to music and reading. Sandra would prefer a friendly, chatty mature female volunteer who is comfortable around animals to visit her fortnightly for a chat, or a drive.
Sandra is available on Mon, Tues or weekends. You'll need access to a car for community outings. As a valued member of social support team you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
