Digitising the Art and Archive Collection

National Art School

Are you passionate about collections and making them accessible, promoting the arts, and your career? If so, this could be the volunteering role for you!

The National Art School Archive and Collection team are looking for Digitisation Volunteers to help photograph and record our collections and to help us build upon the information we have in our museum database. We are aiming to give every stored object and artwork in our collection an up-to-date record and high-quality photograph that will be fully searchable online. You will be invaluable in helping the National Art School become more accessible by strengthening our digital record keeping.

As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to work in a small and friendly team, and learn more about the National Art School and related activities. You will receive invitations to exhibition openings, lectures and special events as well as library borrowing benefits.

If you are a skilled photographer and interested in becoming a Digitisation Volunteer, please provide a copy of your CV, along with a cover letter, telling us about yourself, your skills and why you would like the opportunity to volunteer at NAS.

The Digitisation program is for one day per week on a Wednesday in the Archives at NAS, from 10am-4pm.

Please email your application to hr@nas.edu.au

If you have any questions, please call Juanita Hyde on (02) 9339 8627
