Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Frank* has a great sense of humour, enjoys enjoys a robust conversation and is passionate about his faith. He attends church when Covid restrictions permit. He also enjoys reading, listening to music, and TV, especially detective movies or shows of a religious nature. In the past Frank enjoyed boating, fishing, karate and was a member of a gun club.

You will need to be a kind and patient person who is good at listening. You must also have access to a car for local outings.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
