Ipswich City Orchestras is an emerging arts organisation based in Ipswich, Queensland and currently servicing the regional areas of Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our small and dedicated team as we take our community engagement and promotions to the next level.

As the Communications Officer, your main focus will be the promotion of ICO activities through radio, social & print media, and the ICO consumer database.

Essential: • Excellent writing and communication skills • Ability to work well both in a team and autonomously • Dependable, reliable and able to commit to the time requirement and meet deadlines • Intermediate-advanced computer skills • Ability to learn quickly and creatively incorporate priorities across multiple campaigns • Ability to work from home, with internet access • Working With Children Blue Card (or be eligible to obtain)

Highly Regarded: • Experience in PR, marketing, media or communications • Demonstrated experience writing advertising and print media copy • Interest in and understanding of social media platforms • Experience in a not-for-profit environment • Interest in learning and a strong desire to increase skills through self-learning
