Logo for Australian Red Cross

Minimum 3 hours per week until June 2022 The program

The ‘Digital in WA’ project is a new community initiative at the Australian Red Cross with the aim of enhancing women refugees’ confidence and participation in the digital space. The program will run women workshops to support clients to learn skills and techniques that enable them to engage safely and effectively with online technology.

Red Cross will apply its client-centered, strengths-based approach to deliver a series of workshops on areas of learning identified by our clients, such as online safety, online banking and how to access government services such as MyGov and My Health Record.

The opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a team of volunteers, and to be part of one of the world's largest humanitarian movements seeking to build a better society based on people helping people. This is also a great chance to improve your experience in project coordination and humanitarian and community work.   The impact

Volunteers at Digital in WA will contribute to Red Cross’ work in increasing the economic and civic participation and belonging of migrants in transition.

Work for purpose and know that your work will contribute to helping migrants in transition to participate and feel included in Australian society.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply
