Work Health and Safety volunteer

Koala Conservation Australia, who run the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital are seeking a volunteer to lead it's work health and safety activities.

We are seeking a person who has qualifications or demonstrated experience in work, health and safety and an understanding of current WHS legislation, regulations and other requirements or ability to quickly gain current knowledge. We would also like a first aid certificate and understanding of practical WHS requirements.

The role will participate in the WHS Group, lead consultation with staff and volunteers, establish and implement procedures to monitor workplace incidents and hazards and implement remedial actions. They will take the lead role in developing relevant policies and practices to ensure a safe work environment. The scope will cover all sites of the organisation and the health and welfare of staff, volunteers and visitors.
