Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Jan describes herself as bubbly, talkative, friendly and engaging. She enjoys knitting, watching TV and reading. Uniting are seeking a personable and engaging volunteer to support Jan to reconnect with her community.

The selected applicant will have effective communication skills and an ability to creatively reconnect Jan to her interests. Visits may include enjoying some knitting together or supporting Jan get out into her community for a coffee at a local café to share in lively conversation. You will hold a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Jan* in during visits. The confidence to work independently are a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator who will assist you throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community. Interested?
