At Inspiring Girls Australia, we run school workshops for young girls, connecting them with female role models to raise their aspirations and dismantle gender stereotypes that can limit their interests or pursuits.

As a host, your role will be to facilitate the workshops. This includes facilitating discussion around the topics of values, strengths and self-esteem, introducing speakers, and ensuring the workshops run on time. We currently have two separate programs targeted at different age groups.

Inspiring Girls Program: The Inspiring Girls School Program is targeted for year 7 - 9 students. This program runs over a course of 5 weeks with 1x 1 hour sessions per week. Throughout the program, the girls learn about values and skills, and meet role models to learn about the different career opportunities out there.

Dream Gap Workshop: The Dream Gap Workshop is a program we are running over 2022-2023 in partnership with Mattel. The program consists of a 1-hour workshop featuring videos and activities targeted to students in prep, year 1 and year 2. The girls also meet role models to inspire them to dream big.

We are looking for volunteers with confident public speaking skills and the ability to facilitate group discussion. Professionals with a background in education, coaching and training, as well as university students studying psychology, education etc. are encouraged to apply.
