General Office Volunteer

The Bibbulmun Track Foundation is a vibrant, soundly managed organisation with a strong community base that provides essential support for the ongoing management, maintenance and marketing of the Bibbulmun Track. Our Reception (shop) is open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm and staffed by 2-3 office volunteers each week day. If you have a good knowledge of the Track, are a keen and experienced walker, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) you are welcome to apply to become a regular member of the office team. Office Volunteers provide front-line interaction with our members and the public and assist with an interesting variety of administrative and marketing tasks.

Essential: Be knowledgeable about the Bibbulmun Track Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills (Written and oral) Competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Competent in the use of information technology, including Website navigation, and Essential Criteria: • Be knowledgeable about the Track • Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) • Have walked a section or sections of the Bibbulmun Track for a minimum of two consecutive nights (three days), camping out at the campsites, in addition to other bushwalking experience. • Have the confidence (once trained) to answer questions relating to our products and services from customers on the phone, online or in our Reception • Competent in the use of information technology, including Website navigation, Internet explorer, and email • Competent using programs such as MS Office (Word and Excel), MS Outlook • Competent in the use of hiking equipment • Ability to undertake direction and work without supervision • Effective responsibility for delegated tasks Additionally, office volunteers need to be personable, a team player and deemed to be a good organisational fit.
