The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East.

We are looking for volunteers who can work under the direction of the head coach to

• Help set up and 'take down' before and after the session
• Support athletes as they participate in training drills and cricket play activities
• Encourage the participation of all attending participants, regardless of ability
• Monitor participants and ensure their safety during training program activities
• Work under the direction of the Head Coach and Cricket Sports Manager
• Work with any 'breakout' groups to participate in drills or skills work, as specified by the head coach
• Encourage athletes to encourage and support each other while training
• Ideally we are looking for volunteers who will be able to help out regularly (or at least semi-regularly)
• Knowledge of/experience of Cricket is beneficial
