Key Responsibilities

• To provide a welcoming approach for all clients • Assist with tasks as directed by the Coordinator such as painting, lawn-mowing. • Ability to drive and have full Australian Licence , desirable to be able to drive manual small truck. • Undertake tasks to set up or handover properties including general cleaning and furniture removal. • Pick up of items such as food bank, some furniture items and driving a small truck. (manual) • Ability to complete small maintenance jobs such as painting, sanding and minor carpentry jobs within the properties as directed. • Lawn mowing rubbish removal and gardening as required. • Maintaining a professional standard of care and behaviour as an external representative of the House of Welcome • Working within all appropriate WH&S requirements • Ability to work unsupervised and use practical initiative in order to prioritise work schedule Skills, experience and attributes

• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to learn • Excellent communication skills particularly with vulnerable clients and across cultures • Flexibility in response to client needs • Ability to work unsupervised • Good organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload • Good proficiency level with Microsoft Word and Outlook • Ability to work with people with varying levels of English proficiency • Respect for the rights and dignity of each person at the House of Welcome
