Diverse Communities and Social Services (DCSS Australia - a Public Benevolent ACNC Charity Institution) is a National Not-for-Profit Community Justice and Social Services Charity Organisation.

Together, we are the leading National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Indigenous), LGBTIQA+, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Diversity and Inclusion focused organisation, which delivers the Not-for-Profit Community Justice and Social Services Program operating across Australia.

THE ROLE

With the merge of two not-for-profit and charity organisations, we are seeking a Graphic Designer to support our PR & Marketing team and deliver assets for our organisation. Reporting to the CEO / PR & Marketing Head, you will be creating content across our digital platforms and for print including merchandise, and other ad-hoc projects as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Working alongside the PR & Marketing Officer and ICT Officer, you will be responsible for crafting and communicating our organisation image - by creating content for all our digital and social media channels and digital designs for marketing collateral, in line with the organisation guidelines

  • Re-designing the existing website to enhance user experience
  • Creation of the digital organisation assets and promotional / social awareness ads (static, digital)
  • Expo (Fundraising, Recruitment, Community Justice programs, Indigenous programs etc.) and printed collateral including invitations, flyers, brochures, banners, business cards, merchandise etc.
  • Hands on all aspects of logo design and proofing, and converting them to print ready format when required
  • Assist team with any ad-hoc duties requiring an illustrator / graphic designer

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 2-year experience working in a Graphic Design role, developing, and managing content- involving both print (including design and creating print ready artwork) and digital (including social media)
  • Tertiary qualification in advanced multimedia - Graphic Design or the like- highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience with programs including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • Able to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form
  • Confident in sharing new ideas and comfortable influencing key stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team as well as unsupervised- must be proactive and accountable
  • Passionate about creating and design, and bringing that creativity to life!
