Adelaide Memory Walk & Jog Volunteer

Dementia Australia is the national peak body for people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia, their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information.

We are seeking volunteers to assist at our Adelaide Memory Walk & Jog at Wigley Reserve, Glenelg on Sunday 27 March 2022, 7am - 12.30pm. Volunteers are a vital part of the day, giving an enthusiastic welcome and practical support. There are a range of ways to help:

Taking registrations
Being a track marshal  
Distributing t shirts  
Sweep Bike Rider

Orientation and equipment provided.

It is a requirement of this event that all volunteers are fully COVID-19 vaccinated, and can provide proof of vaccination record.

Familiarise yourself with the most up-to-date requirements and advice from the Australian and NT and SA State Governments. * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
