Our aim is to assist people with disability gain employment and find a job they will really enjoy. We believe Community education is vital to help remove some of the obstacles people with disability and those living with mental health and other health conditions face in the employment market. Community Events assist to increase the awareness of the specialised services available for people living with disability to achieve their employment goals, and be aware of other additional support services.
This role will involve providing pamphlets, brochures, other information and contact details to interested parties who approach our Information Booths located at the various Community Event locations. More detailed, individualised information will be provided by our EPIC Assist teams in follow up contact with the enquirer, maintaining confidentiality for all parties involved.
Duties include acknowledging interested parties as they approach the Information Booth, greeting with a smile and assisting with any informational brochures/pamphlets they would like to see or take with them.
The impact of these Information Booths can be far reaching, not just for an individual, but also their families, friends and within the general Community. These initial conversations and the gathering of information around services and supports available, can guide and encourage some of the most vulnerable members in our Community to start their journey towards achieving their goals. Your role as a Community Events Ambassador can really help make a difference.
