Be a friend - Volunteer Visitors for Manning/South Perth region
Lifeline WAThe Community Visitors Scheme provides companionship to older aged adults – either in Residential Aged Care Facilities, or in their own homes. The visits can range from sharing a cup of tea, looking at photos, going for short walks (weather & ability permitting), helping the Recipient to participate in group activities (if in an Aged Care Facility) etc. It is purely a companionship to help them feel more connected and less socially isolated. Ideally, we ask Volunteers to visit with their Recipient once a fortnight, or once a week if their schedule allows. As the CVS Coordinator, I do my best to match you up with someone both close to your home and with similar interests.
We provide training and induction so that you feel comfortable and ongoing support and professional development. We want you to feel part of our Lifeline family.
