Get2Know is looking for a passionate Volunteer Occupational Therapist to join our diverse, inclusive and multi-disciplinary team in providing quality services to our clients. The right candidate will be enthusiastic individual with the right amount of compassion, patience and empathy to help our clients identify and implement methodologies that will support their participation at work.

What You Will Do

• Perform one-on-one interviews, examinations, therapy needs assessments in home/clinical/online settings
• Educate clients and their families or caregivers on conditions and treatments
• Case management and care coordination, as well as transition services including client advocacy and discharge planning
• Assisting with the modification of environments and adaptation of processes
• Liaise with stakeholders and generate/manage reports
• Planning and directing programs through the use of vocational, recreational and social activities
• Recording clients' progress and building/maintaining professional relationships

Essential Criteria

• High degree of patience and flexibility
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) Registration
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant discipline
• Demonstrated experience in therapy planning and delivering therapy
• Current NDISWC/WWCC/Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)

Desirable Criteria

• Current Driver's License
• Demonstrated strong team work ethic
• Previous experience working with NDIS Clients
