About the roles

Patient support volunteers play an important role in enhancing the service delivered at Calvary Hospitals. Duties may include welcoming patients and visitors, providing social support to patients, providing refreshments, answering ward call bells, restocking supplies in patient rooms, menu and mealtime assistance. Support may also be needed for running errands, basic administration tasks and escorting visitors and mobile patients around the hospital.

About Calvary

Calvary is a national provider of health, community and aged care services operating in six states and territories. Calvary continues the mission of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, a mission focused on caring for those who are sick, dying and in need. We express our values of hospitality, healing, stewardship and respect through “being for others” exemplified by the Spirit of Calvary and the example of Venerable Mary Potter.
