Gary is a resident of an aged care facility in Subiaco and he is looking for a visitor to share in a chat, listen to music or help him with games on the Ipad. He also likes bowling, bingo and quizzes.

If you have good Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with elderly people then this could be the volunteer role for you.

The Community Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve residents' quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.

Volunteers will be required to have a current Influenza and Covid-19 vaccination or be willing to get one.
