Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love. Whatever ‘living life to the fullest” looks like for them, we support them to make it happen.

Li is a kind and thoughtful woman. She is looking for a Mandarin-speaking volunteer to help her reconnect with the things she loves. Li enjoys cooking, gardening, watching Chinese TV shows and reading, and wants to share her love of gardening and perhaps help her start up a small veggie patch. Li* has some hearing loss, so to be successful in this role the volunteer will need to be kind and patient.

As a valued member of the social support team, you will have access to; ongoing training and development opportunities, the chance to meet new people and develop new skills, the support of a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
