Education Officers

Makerspace Adelaide

Makerspace Adelaide is a community fabrication workshop providing affordable access to a variety of tools and equipment - from laser cutters and sewing machines to 3D printers and traditional hand tools. Along with access to tools there are volunteers to help members learn how to safely use the tools and equipment. Makerspace Adelaide provides a community of like-minded makers. We offer membership, classes, workshop, speakers and special events. Makerspace Adelaide is looking for volunteers that have an educational background or are currently studying education to help with the delivery or support of education programs at Makerspace Adelaide.

Our programs range from topics such as STEM and the Circular Economy, Waste Recovery and Repurpose, Digital Design and Manufacturing, Traditional arts and skilled trades, Textiles (felting, fabric, and leatherworking), Electronics and Soldering, Visual and Digital Arts, Multimedia, and Social Enterprise workshops.

Experience in a STEM area is also desirable, but not essential. There will be opportunities for personal and professional development, networking events, and involvement in public events/activities.

All volunteer applicants are expected to have or will undertake the DHS screening process for working with children by our organisation.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
