Being a friend for an elderly person

  • Your key role is to be a friend for someone who now lives in aged care. You will need to be able to listen as well as chat with them. You can do this while you do an activity with them, or sit outside on the verandah.

  • You are asked to visit once/week for a minimum of 40 weeks/year - or as close as possible

Skills: you need to be a friendly and caring person who understands the limitations of an elderly person.

Organisation involves 4 things: 1. Visit regularly 2. Log in & out of Christies Beach Infin8 Care Facility & comply with health requirements. 3. Keep a record of each visit 4. Send in record quarterly to me.

Extra application steps: 1. Visit and chat with me, a CVS co-ordinator 2. complete some paperwork with my help 3. Complete SAPOL police clearance - at not cost to you 4. Have 2 referee statements 5. Have current flu & COVID vaccination records. Contact me for more information.
