Wavell Heights Scout Group is a fun-filled family-orientated group. We offer Scouting from ages 7 to 18. As a Leader of Youth, no previous scout or guide skills or experience is required. Learning on the job, mentoring, working with other Leaders and interacting with a Youth led program all helps new Leaders adjust into the Scouting life. What we are asking is that you share your knowledge and your current skills and abilities with our youth members.

We provide hands-on mentoring, our time and our friendship. We have already trained leaders in each section so you will be gaining great training experience from them. Onto this, the Best of on-line and face-to-face Scouting training is provided, at no cost to you. Attainment of Certificate 2 to 4 levels in multiple fields (Leadership and Management, Outdoor skills, Volunteering etc) are possible via SAIT (similar to TAFE qualifications)

We assist you in applying for a Blue Card, if you haven’t got one. This is a requirement of membership

We do ask for your commitment and your time as our Scouts will grow to trust you and look up to you as their leader.
