St John NT - Training and Development Lead
St John Ambulance Australia NT IncWorking as part of St John NT’s Volunteer Leadership Group (VLG) this position will:
- Lead the Training and Development Team
- Work with all VLG members to plan and implement volunteer recruitment, induction, training and retention strategies to increase workforce
- Lead projects and initiatives relating to training as agreed and developed with the VLG
- Promote diversity and inclusivity within the teams and demonstrates a high understanding with implementation of cultural safety strategies
- Support a culture of respect, appreciation and companionship towards all of St John NT members both active and retired
- Lead and support the creation of training materials that are consistent with all divisions
- Attend Training and Development meetings as required
- Provide regular reporting to the VLG on the latest training and or equipment opportunities
- Be required to work independently at times and without direct supervision
- Undertake other duties as requested by the Director, Volunteering, Events and Community Education or the VLG
• Current criminal history check • Hold a valid Working with Children Card • Complete St John Australia Child Protection, and then biannually as required • Current First Aid Certificate • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised • Strong interpersonal skills • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units: • TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and • TAEASS502 (or its successor) or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B • Certificate III in Basic Health Care
