V - Youth Administration Assistant

Drive for Life is a driver training and mentoring program that equips young people who are overcoming adversity, to obtain their drivers licence. The program removes the barriers and provides a pathway towards positive role models, developing independent life skills and improving employment prospects.

We are seeking a volunteer to help in an administrative capacity at our office in Lawnton, Brisbane QLD. The volunteer Youth Admin Assistant will be required to support with a range of tasks including:

  • Following up and responding to program enquiries
  • Data entry and ensure up to date record keeping
  • Connecting with the volunteer Mentors, as well as program participants to help build a culture of community within the program.

Prior administrative experience will be highly regarded for this volunteer role, but not essential.

Mandatory Requirements of the Role

  • Complete The Salvation Army's volunteer registration, induction modules and any other training as required
  • Criminal History Check (Police Check) and WWCC (QLD Blue Card) - the organisation will pay for and/or help to acquire these checks
  • Providing 2 references are mandatory for all roles that work with persons under 18 years
