Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Jake is an energetic and community minded man with an interest in health and fitness and IT. He seeks a kind, gentle, patient volunteer to support him to reconnect with his community. The volunteer will have effective communication skills and an ability to creatively reconnect Jake to his interests including walking, health and fitness.

Visits may include supporting Jake* to get out into his community for a walks or share a cup of tea in the garden whilst sharing lively conversation. Practical communication skills and confidence to work independently are a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. Volunteer to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
