Animals commonly needing foster care from this facility include:

  • Various sized adult dogs, including those requiring post-surgery recovery, behaviour modification, socialisation or ongoing treatment

  • Cats and kittens, including those requiring post-surgery recovery or treatment for medical conditions

  • Cats and kittens with Ringworm

  • Mother cats with kittens

Foster carers are required to:

  • Be over the age of 18, with every household resident agreeing to foster

  • Have an appropriate space or backyard for animals to live in

  • Provide daily love, care, and attention to foster animals

  • Transport the animal to and from veterinary appointments, as required

  • Monitor the animal for health and behaviour development or changes

  • Stay in contact with the shelter while fostering, via email or phone
